HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
Ministers of Hospitality have a special role in welcoming those who enter our church. They enhance our worship by welcoming people, seating them, taking up the collection, assisting anyone who may become ill and distributing parish bulletins.
Requirements
Hospitality Ministers are essential members of the church community as they must be alert, welcoming, and friendly individuals. Their unwavering dedication to hospitality reflects the very essence of Christ's welcoming nature, as we are all considered honored guests in the presence of Christ himself. By actively demonstrating these qualities, Hospitality Ministers play a significant role in creating a warm and inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and welcomed.
- Arrive at least a half hour before mass in the Gathering Space outside the chapel to greet people.
- Wear a Hospitality name tags so that parishioners know who to go to for assistance.
- Welcome everyone as they enter the church. Introduce yourself if you haven’t met them before or if they seem to be visitors and answer their questions.
- Assist with collecting the offerings, if needed.
- Distribute weekly bulletins at the end of Mass as people leave our church.
